Geriatric Care Management :: 1 - 2 - 3 - 4

There's no shortage of emotion associated with decisions about senior care.

Adult children want to be sensitive to the wishes of an elderly parent, but at what point does this sensitivity get in the way of a more realistic approach to senior care and prevent a parent from receiving all the care and resources required for a satisfactory quality of life?

We're sensitive to your parent's wishes, but that's only one factor in our arriving at recommendations. We use our knowledge and experience to evaluate which options make the most sense in your case, and then work out a solution that incorporates, to the greatest extent possible, the wishes, capabilities, and resources of the family. This involves an assessment and evaluation of physical, emotional, legal, and financial requirements.

Our recommendations add up to an individualized life care plan. Many families make the mistake of basing their decisions on the experiences of friends, acquaintances, or other family members. At Elder Connections, we know that every family has its own unique set of needs, resources, and emotions. As a neutral party, we can serve as an unbiased counselor, able to resolve differing points of view through the application of knowledge and experience to your situation. And, we can also act as a liaison to other family members, including those who don't live in the Philadelphia area.
